I am about to replace my hard drive in my PowerBook G4 with a 250GB one. This is due to the factory HD dying. Not sure on the steps as far as reinstalling the OS, also is there anything particular I should know before getting into it?

Hello Sean, once your new hard drive is installed make sure that you format it as Mac os extended (journaled) and put the partition table as apple partition map. Besides that just follow the installation prompts :)
