The buttons on the control panel have worn through.
Can the control panel on the door be replaced? Or can the face be replaced?

The display/control panel for your model is no longer sold by the manufacturer and there is no substitute.
You may be able to source a replacement by searching for the part number only i.e WR55X23228 as some suppliers might still have some in stock. (examples only)
I cannot find a video that shows how to replace it but here's a video showing the replacement of a similar panel that may help.
Perhaps it may be prudent to verify the part number (found on the back of the panel) before ordering. I checked with 3 major appliance parts suppliers and they all showed the same part number (as shown above) for your model and they all showed, "no longer available, no substitute".

As there are 3 different models beginning with GSE25ESH***, to ensure that the correct part can be linked, please post the full model number of the refrigerator?
