Hi @bob10087
Could be a sticking pump relay on the control board.
Try disconnecting the power to the washer for about 5 minutes and then reconnect the power and check if all is OK.
If it is OK, and the pump is not starting at the beginning of a wash or rinse cycle, try performing the diagnostic tests on the machine to see if they show what's wrong.
Here's the tech sheet for the washer.
Go to p.2 Activating the service diagnostic test modes to see what to do.
If there are any errors, there's a Fault code/error display method table on p.3 that shows how to interpret the status lights to know what the code is.
On p.6-p.7 the codes and their possible causes are shown.
If it not OK, and the pump still turns on when the washer is started on a wash or rinse cycle, see the wiring diagram for the pump motor operate circuit on p.17 of the tech sheet linked above.
If you find the problem and it is a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful.
Locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number for the part, that is shown with it. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
Search on YouTube for (insert wanted part number) replacement, and if you're lucky, you might find videos that show how to replace it.

Hi @bob10087
Please confirm the full model number of the washer?
The reason for asking is that there are 4 WTW4816FW models i.e. WTW4816FW0 → WTW4816FW3 and they're not all exactly the same as far as parts and how they're wired.
