The slim edition of the classic Xbox 360 with a 250GB HDD and built-in Wi-Fi. Repair requires intricate prying and special tools.

How to repair GPU

GPU killed itself about 2 years ago and I've found no one willing to repair/replace it or tutorials online. If it really is impossible to fix, how should I go forward? This thing has too much precious data to lose

@turkeylegs on your 360 S the GPU is part of the CPU. It is not impossible but will require to have the tools to do a total reball. That means you would at minimum need the stencils, a BGA reflow machine and a new processor. That is where you run into trouble. Those do no longer exist. That means you would need to use an old/used processor. Nobody can/will work with processors that nobody knows anything about. Think about it, you may be buying somebody else's problematic chip.

I totally agree! So, the best thing to do is to buy a known working motherboard in this case. It IS more expensive… but will save you a lot of time as it is way easier!
