Video Flickers Intermittently on PS5

I have an issue where there video on my PS5 often flickers. It usually starts out fine, but within fifteen minutes, it’ll be flickering pretty badly. I’ve tried different cables and HD TV with no success. But it only happens when hooked up to an HD TV as it never happens when connected to a cheap 5 inch monitor.

It started happening after a bad thunderstorm. The TV it was connected to wasn’t plugged into a surge protector. The TV was fine, but I suspect there was somehow a surge to the hdmi port(?).

Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be wrong. My first thought was the hdmi port but I’m wondering if it’s not something else since it works fine with the small monitor.
