Collecting food waste is good for the home really it is the bulk of everything smelly. The compact size bucket that the city we live in supplies is the problem. If a roommate of mine did not have additional storage, they'd be dropping off compost weekly. Not only that, the compostable liner bags are not suitable for contents like bones. When it is full and I lift it out more often than not it rips!

One of the biggest issues is that the 1 gallon bag liners are so prone to tears. There is no good way around it so most people just bring it to their local food waste dump. This method treats food scrap storage alike garbage and recycling, how it should be.

You can literally dump single gallon city compost bucket into the 5gallon. Essential to have liner bags for no mess no clean ease.
