Answer to "Keyboard works after spill, but types different?"I spilled hot chocolate on my backlit keyboard about 18 months ago and lost the use of some of the function keys and numbers. I ordered a replacement ‘backlit’ keyboard on Amazon that came from China. The keyboard I received was not backlit and I was unable to return it. I replaced the malfunctioning keyboard anyway, which was not that difficult to do, thanks to iFixit. A few months ago the replacement unbacklit keyboard started to malfunction; the tilde and several number keys stopped working, one by one. I searched for a replacement backlit keyboard. There were several listed on the internet but those were also unbacklit keyboards listed as backlit keyboards. You can tell by the shape of the connection strip. I finally found a used backlit keyboard on eBay, plan to put it in today. Will let you know how it goes.
