I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Supply Chain Management.
After graduation, I had no plans other than to road trip to the West Coast with my grandfather. With plans to visit my brother for the summer, I found myself in love with the central coast. My grandfather, Julius, journeyed home and left me with 2 surfboards and 10 days worth of clothes. I needed some cash for rent and some basic necessities so the job search was full force.
It’s funny how things work out..
I started out in the Shipping Department. Shortly thereafter, I would become the Department Head and ensure all of you received the tools and parts necessary to get the job done! Since then, i’ve transitioned into purchasing/procurement. I’ve been busy learning the procurement side of the business and have been purchasing all the Tools that iFixit has to offer.
I am a Michigan native. Born and Raised in Grand Haven.
Grand Haven is a little beach town on the Lake Michigan. For 3 months–give or take–there's a thriving little beach culture. However, 3 months was never enough. The four seasons are a love-hate to say the least.
It's fair to say I have been enjoying the Central Coast and the amenities that come along with it.
Here are some photos from the road trip with gramps:

Bixby Bridge, California
Meteor Crater, Arizona

Answer to "How to fix epoxy surfboard with solarez?"Anytime I damage one of my epoxy surfboards and the foam is exposed I use epoxy putty. There’s a lot of ways to do this repair, but here is why I like the epoxy putty. (1) It’s forgiving for a first time fixer. You have plenty of time to shape it before it hardens. You can also wet your fingers and shape it like clay. (no sanding to finish) (2) Isn’t dependent on UV rays (3) You can don’t have to wait to surf it. You could repair it on the beach and get back out without waiting for it to dry. It can get wet while it’s hardening. (4) Good for filling in a hole. All you have to do to apply the putty is cut off the necessary amount, squish it around in your fingers to mix it, and apply it.
Answer to "How to fix a hole in my new Patagonia Yulux Wetsuit?"@jenniferthomas I added a similar answer here. How to repair a slit in a Patagonia wetsuit If you do decide to give the repair a try, sew the hole with dental floss first. After, you can seal it with neoprene cement. It works well! Good luck!
Answer to "How to repair a slit in a Patagonia wetsuit"Hey Mike, Try sewing the slit with Dental Floss. After, you can use Neoprene Cement to seal the repair. Although, if your suit is that new, most manufactures will repair if you send it in. Hope this helps!
