I was getting a red screen that flashed briefly before loop booting (froot looping?) back to the Apple Logo. I tried to restore 10 times before it finally worked. I disconnected the Front Camera Flex on the last three attempts.
The model number for the Surface Pro 6 is actually 1824. The 1796 model number refers to the Surface Pro 5 or Surface 2017. Make sure if you are buying screen to fix you get it for the Surface Pro 6 or 1824. Cheers.
2) You damaged the N-Trig Board or it was damaged when the screen was originally damaged which can happen. Unless you try a combination both both you may not know. It you are doing these Surface Pro 4 repairs in bulk, it is a good idea to keep both those parts in stock.
We have done that repair a couple of times and as long as you have another charging socket and a new screen it should be able to be done. It’s nearly impossible to open these up without cracking the glass, it’s super thin and help with really strong adhesive. Near the top of the frame where all the plastic is, there are antennas, make sure you don’t rip them or apple too much hear to the top as you can melt the plastic. Best of luck!
