hi, iMacs normally have a thermal sensor either attched to the screen or built in (possibly not 100% sure about built in) but you probably forgot to reattach the thermal sensor to the logic board (Replacment screen may not have come with thermal sensor) look at ols scren for any other cables other than display cabe :)
Is your phone on lte(4g) mode only, a lot of phones (and networks) don't support voice calls ones let, if you set phone to 2g/3g only dose problem remain?

It seems like it would be a capacitor, i would look up the voltage of the capacitor and try replacing, are there any other capacitors burst or bulging like they are going to burst?
Ebay, i used a tri point screwdriver to loosen the Rear screws and a slightly to small torx to remove
Possibly the daughterboard (assuming charging circutry is on daugtherboard) may be providing power to motherboard but not battery
