Try entering BIOS and look at the boot order, the CD option might not be on or could be lower in the boot order than the hard drive Update (10/04/2018): On a mac you Pres and hold CMD, OPT, “O” and "F"
Have you dropped your phone recently or anything, as it could have caused damage to the screen, replacing the screen should resolve the problem however.
Have you taken the CMOS battery out or the laptop battery, as that can make a large difference on the password reset, the CMOS (small circular battery) is what powers the BIOS.
You can but you need to be good at soldering, the best bet if you don’t want to repair it easily is replace the motherboard. I had to do this with my phone as it wouldn’t charge properly. If you want to try something easily try using a different wall charger as that could be the problem.
There are a few things I suggest, one would be have you tired using a different charger and or outlet. If that doesn’t work try replacing the battery or the charging port could have a disconnect. The charger would be the least expensive option so i would try that first.
