A Little Background
I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration concentrating in both Information Systems and Accounting. After this, I spent a year involved with religious / humanitarian efforts in Mexico City, Mexico.
During which I was both at work on the ground with the staff as well as employing my IS degree through the setup and maintenance of several web presences and collaborative tools for the organization's efforts. While down in Mexico, a couple friends who were with me and I decided that the needs of orphans in Mexico was too great to ignore. So, we started a 501c3 non-profit and called it Enfoque Ciudad (City Focus). The organization has grown to a staff of 7 people now and we plan to enter into the construction phase of our own orphanage in early 2012! Visit enfoqueciudad.org for more on that.
A year later, I returned to Califonia to marry my, then, girlfriend of a few years and to begin to look for a starting place for my career. I found a good opportunity as a software developer at a Vandenberg Air Force based location of InDyne, a government contractor. For over a year I worked on several initiatives to use software to make the base operations function seamlessly. Classic ASP and .Net web development, VB.Net and C#.Net desktop and mobile applications, PKI integrations, and extensive deluges into Oracle and VMWare products marked some of my experience with InDyne.
From there I came to one of my two current positions as Market Development Manager at iFixit.com. My part-time college position has come full circle and I thoroughly enjoy the startup culture and coworkers here. Our work here, our ongoing outreach to industry and our desire to do what's right for our world is so fulfilling. We are at the cusp of a revolution that'll leave us feeling like our old way of carrying-on was so primitive.
Shortly after my return to iFixit, we decided there was a broader market for the platform we had developed over the past 7 years. Hence, Dozuki was born. Dozuki is an online documentation tool that can be used inside or outside an organization: top-secret, internal information or socially-driven, community support. The tool is extremely versatile and so we have customers from the top ranks of auto makers to open source hardware startups.

Ответ на "Does the RROD Fix Kit solve Error 0102?"I haven't personally used the RROD kit to solve this error. But this quote: (1) it mentions for 0102 See Error E18 E18: Error in the "Digital Backbone" (CPU/GPU/RAM), this is usually caused by a cold solder joint between the GPU and the mainboard. There are two theories to fixing this one deals with the "X" clamps that hold down the chips. The other involves re-Heating the chips. DO NOT attempt either of these if your console is still under warranty. If your console is still under warranty return it to the store where it was purchased or call MS to have it replaced. from this site, makes me think that it will as that is exactly what the RROD kit aims to solve. Hope this helps.
Ответ на "Can't print google or mapquest maps."Can you try to save the Map's print preview as a pdf? You will need to install a pdf printer if you don't already have one. Then try to print it in adobe acrobat. PDF Printers: (1) CutePDF - Free (1.1) http://www.cutepdf.com (2) BullZip - Free (2.1) http://www.bullzip.com (2.2) Bullzip was functional when i tried it- but i remember it having annoying adds or something. (3) Adobe PDF - Installs with paid for adobe products (acrobat pro, creative suite products)
Ответ на "Barista overheating and tripping the gfci outlet?"Have you noticed any decrease in pressure during steaming? Here is a excerpt from someone who had a similar problem that was due to calcification: (1) I use the machine mainly for making lattes and at about two per day I made 2000+ before I noticed that the machine would trip my ground fault breaker on occasion. Shortly after that I experienced a random situation where the pump would not produce enough pressure to brew an espresso shot through the reporta filter. Starbucks customer service explained that a calcium build up on the heating element would trip the ground fault breaker and that a similar build up within the pump would degrade the pressure. The obvious solution was to decalcify the machine, which I had been doing every six months. After three sequential treatments the ground fault breaker problem was solved but the pressure output of the pump remained deficient. It would sound normal but before the espresso shot would flow, the pump became very silent and just could not generate enough pressure....
Ответ на "I need a replacement rear cover"It's pretty meager out there. All I have been able to find is the LCD and digitizer replacement parts. I'd say keep an eye on ebay or your local craigslist to find a broken one with a suitable rear cover. Good luck.
Ответ на "Please HELP! Xbox RROD kit installed not working."Hi hugh, You should double check to make sure all your connection points for you heat sink are nice snug with those newly installed machine screws. If the solder looks like it might be the issue, maybe go over it again with the heat gun to get it re-flowing. Also, Matt suggested 2 potential fixes for RROD issues Installed RRoD repair kit, still getting the three rings... What now?- Although the "Towel trick" sounds a little far fetched it is a good short term fix. Cheers.
Ответ на "Replaced Broken Screen, but still no display - just white light?"Hey Pat, So I was looking at the repair manual for the 3rd gen iPod touch, you can see it here, and it looks like the cable you are describing with a pin potentially missing is the touch screen connection cable mentioned in step 8. If thats the case, I don't think that a missing pin in the touch screen connection would cause a completely display failure. More likely the display data cable, pictured in step 15 was unseated. However, again that is unlikely because it is pretty protected underneath a metal tray and the display itself– but it could be your solution. Also, I did some looking around for similar problems and White screen after changing rear panel parallels your problem's symptoms pretty well; the bummer is the solution at the end looks like a logic board replacement :( Hope this helps.
Ответ на "Tin coating worn off pans are they safe to cook in"Hey Mayer, So I was curious too and found a good resource for you (I think). Firstly, they do mention that since it is a copper pan you are talking about you may not want to re-tin it in certain cases: In the case of copper, the tin prevents reaction with acidic foods. If you're not cooking acidic foods, then it's not necessary to have a tin lining. Also, if the copper pot is going to be subjected to very high temperatures, such as for making hard candy, the copper needs to be bare in order to support the high temperatures. And bare copper is desirable in making meringues, because of its reaction to egg whites, which makes them peak faster and longer. (1) The previously quoted paragraph was found here So yes, they are still safe to cook with, it seems. However, if you want to re-tin them then you could use this form and send your pans to Fantes.com (based out of PA) to get your pans re-tinned. The cost is variable but here is how you calculate it: (1) Measure each pan's width and height then add those 2...
Ответ на "mac mini wont START UP"Can you start it in Safe Mode? To start up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot), do this: (1) Be sure the computer is shut down. (2) Press the power button. (3) Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before. (4) Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear). (1) During startup in Mac OS X v10.4 or later, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login window, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. (2) During startup in Mac OS X v10.2 through v10.3.9, you will see "Safe Boot" on the Mac OS X startup screen. To leave Safe Mode in any version of Mac OS X, restart the computer normally, without holding any keys during startup. Info sourced from Apple support forum You can also be more proactive: (1) Try your install CD that came with your Mac, reboot, hold down the letter C after you hear the chime, and when it boots to the installer, pick a...
