Hi Alife first of all you will have to get the key scand for output to see if it is putting out a signal if that is Ok then check all the fuses in all the fuse boxes nomator what they do if that doesn't work you will have to find someone with a good scanner that can read the security system in the fuse box there's no other way. i had to replace the fuse box when mine went wrong but i still at to tell the fuse box to accept the signal from the key you have also got a receiver in the headlining which might be a issue ? up by the interior light ? sorry i can't be of any more help i don't know where you live but i live in Nottingham England.

Hi I’ve try all the above and none of them work so if you go up to the comment that i made under Jayeff about the gem box/fuse box that was the only way i got to fix it . by the way i spent a lot of time trying all the other ways before i ended up with changing the fuse box , for those who don’t know that the Gem unit is in side the fuse box so you can’t get to it or see it i suppose some clever person could take it apart and repair it but is not me !! I hope that this helps all of you that have got frustrated with trying all of the other ways to fix this problem good luck !!

Hi to all i try like a lot of other people for hours to figger this out but the only way to over come the problem is to replace the GEM / FUSEBOX if you are getting a second hand box then make sure that all the numbers match on the replacement one and that it comes from the same type of car and then it can be reprogramed by a garage with the right diagnostic equipment so it can control all the addons which the car as. hope this helps !!

Hi After a long discussion with lot of people i decided to replace the receiver in the headlining but this did not cure the fault so then took the big decision to change the PCM/ Fuse Box but at to find a complete match the numbers at to be a complete right down to the letters on it and then reconfigure it to all the cars functions before i could reinstate the keys. i have no idea what had gone wrong with the PCM like all electronic pieces of equipment they have a mine of their own ?? what a long job but glad it’s done.
