I like to repair stuff, ever since my parents cleaned out the attic and gave me a lot of old computers and tablets. I have found abandoned tech at thrift stores, attics, friends houses, and sides of roads. I take to my house and fix it up, and usually use it for gaming. I believe in the video game preservation effort and in the right to repair, and don't care about warranties because I repair my own stuff.
I believe that buying things used is better for the environment, cheaper, and more interesting. Knowing how to repair your own things gives you a whole new measure of control over your technology, and I like to know how everything I own works. I never throw out tech, I fix it or put it in my spare parts bin.
