Hello Samra, although i am personally against piracy here are some suggestions. -Is this console modded? The fact that your console is not modded would definitely make it harder. You could also try putting in a non-pirated genuine ps2 disk to see if it works. -Depending on how you pirated your disk, you may need to read the steps of how to use your pirated disk. There might be some extra steps or a workaround to get it to work. -Your disk might not be formatted correctly, making it impossible to read. -Your console is non-functional in some other way, probably the disk drive. -If you just want to play your game consider emulation. PS; If possible support the creator of the game ;) buy their game on steam or smth. I know that ps2 disks are rare and now collectables so cost a fortune. I get you one last thing if you are up for a challenge to try to install a hardrive in your PlayStation no more dilemmas like this usually.

Hello William, I don't know exactly what is going wrong but here are some things to try. -Powering on and off your DVD player, turning on and off your power bar for the rest of your AV setup. -Check if you put it in the right orientation. Try putting it in the other way. -Try cleaning your disk. -Try with a different disk. -If those don't work you could try taking it apart to clean things like the lens that reads the disk. you might want to check the resistance of the motor with a multimeter, depending on the resistance you might put a resitor of about that amount. but , if they don't work leave them or see what hapens if you just remove them completly assumingly for battery life conserns.
