I’ve just finished a Surface Pro 4 and the left antenna was destroyed when removing the shards of the original screen. Its actually fairly straightforward to create a new antenna using copper tape with conducting adhesive. Remove the antennas unit (4 screws) and cover the area where the broken antenna was and tape round to the underside so the pins on the logic board touch the tape. I added 4 layers of tape to the section where the pins touch the antenna and also bent the pins up slightly to be sure they’ll cotact the tape. Wasn’t all that difficult, don’t bother looking for a replacement antenna, this will be much quicker.
Is there any more reason to disconnect the battery on the 6 than any previous iPhone? I've repaired countless 5,5c and 5S without disconnecting the battery. Never a problem.
REMOVING THE LOGIC BOARD ASSEMBLY IS COMPLETELY UNNECCESSARY FOR THIS REPAIR!!!! The dock connector flex cable can be slid under the board wihtout removing it. I just did it myself without a problem.
Stages 16-27 need to be removed from this guide!!!
The article you link to isn't describing a fusion drive. The whole areticle is a mistake. Read the comments over there...
wesley burson, the phone doesn't need a full disassembly. At stage 8 you can remove the LCD.
Can't see why it's necessary to remove the battery or motherboard. Why can't you heat the digitizer off, since there's access to the cable?
If the correct amount of heat is applied, why is this all necessary?
