Great guide! Thanks for the help.
Nice! Very helpful.
Hey @captainsnowball please leave teardowns as they are. They’re more a historical archive of an event than a repair manual. If you click the link to the 54-bit driver, it will automatically take you to the 64 bit driver kit.
To answer your question, most likely, but I’m not sure.
Sorry to hear that! If you get in touch with customer service we’d be happy to set you up with a replacement.
Right here: iPhone 6s Plus Display Assembly Adhesive
We sell the adhesive in our store! iPhone 6s Plus Display Assembly Adhesive
Yup! That’s correct.
Make sure your battery is properly connected. If so, see if iTunes recognizes your phone when plugged in to your computer.
Hi Jim. I don't have the original unit on me, but if you zoom into the photos, you can see a couple pieces of foam adhesive between the speakers and the LCD. I made a gif that may highlight the procedure a little better: http://imgur.com/a/AQ5Dc.
It depends on your experience level. If you don't successfully remove both pull tabs, it's much easier to pry the battery out if the screen isn't connected. Most professionals probably leave the screen connected to save some time but we recommend beginners remove the screen to minimize the risk of damaging the display's ribbon cables.
