Drill Does Not Power On
When the trigger is pulled, the drill will not spin or make a noise.
Faulty Battery
Make sure the battery is connected and push the battery until it is secured to the drill. Make sure that the battery is fully charged. If still not working, try a new battery.
Faulty Motor
If the battery is working, the problem could be a bad motor. If the motor is faulty, you will need to replace the motor by using this guide. Motor Replacement
Battery Is Not Charging
The battery is not charging when plugged in.
Faulty Charger
Check to make sure the outlet is working by trying the charger on another outlet. If the outlet is working, it could be the charger is not working therefore replace with a new charger.
Faulty Battery
Make sure the battery is connected by pushing the battery until it is secured to the drill. Make sure the battery is fully charged. If all else fails try using a new battery.
Drill Does Not Spin
The chuck does not spin when trigger is pulled
Faulty Trigger/Switch
Make sure that the actuator (forward/reverse button) is completely pushed to either the forward rotation or reverse rotation position. If the trigger still cannot be pulled then a mechanical failure within the trigger may have occurred and a replacement switch will be required. If the trigger does pull but the motor does not power on then the switch may be faulty. To determine if the switch is faulty you will need to open up the drill casing. Faulty Transmission
If the motor is powering but the chuck is not spinning then a transmission problem is occurring. Slow spinning or no spin is a sign that the gears within the gear box may not have properly seated. Check to make sure that the gear box is not in-between gears and is completely transitioned to the desired gear. Faulty Motor
A faulty motor can result in the chuck having no spin or slow spin. The motor becoming faulty can be caused by overloading the motor or the brushes within the motor wearing out. In either case the motor will need to be replaced by a new one. Use this guide to see how to remove and replace a motor within the drill. Motor Replacement
Drill Bit Does Not Secure
The drill bit is loose within the chuck
Chuck Not Tightened Properly
The chuck for the PS1800 has a two-sleeve keyless chuck and needs to be hand tightened. For correct installation of a drill bit, first firmly grip the inside ring of the chuck with one hand and firmly grip the outer ring of the chuck with the other hand. Then turn the outer ring counter-clockwise for the teeth inside the chuck to begin widening. Loosen until the teeth have widened enough for the drill bit to fit within. Then place the drill bit within the teeth and turn the outer ring clockwise until the teeth have securely been tightened around the bit. Here is the link how to replace the chuck Chuck Replacement
Faulty Chuck
If the chuck will not loosen or tighten the drill bit then the chuck is faulty. Use this guide to see how to remove and replace a chuck. Chuck Replacement
Drill Bit Is Stuck
If the drill bit is stuck in the drill and you cannot remove it.
Drill bit Is too tight
If the chuck is not releasing the bit and it is really tight try using WD40 to loosen it and extract the drill bit.
Not using the drill correctly
If the drill bit is still not coming out hold the chuck and run the drill in reverse
Drill Spins Slowly
If the drill is working slowly.
Faulty Battery
Make sure the battery is connected and push the battery until it is clicked to the drill. Make sure the battery that it is fully charged. If you not sure the battery is charge, try it with a new battery.
Faulty Motor

The smoke keeps coming out of the drill when swish on and bit of lightning

Fully charged 20v battery will not power drill but will power light. Drill workd with other batteries.

I have 2 drills and 3 batteries all of a sudden 2 of them don't charge I have a really dim flashing light on my charger for 2 and the other one works fine any idea what happened to the 2at the same time

My drill works fine but every time I stop drilling I need to pull the battery and reinsert it in order to continue drilling. I have 2 batteries and the same thing happens.
