First Steps
Before opening the controller, try these quick checks first.
- Check around the trigger housing. Dirt or grime could get in the way of the sensors. If there is a large gap between the trigger and the housing there may be something physically broken.
- Adjust the analog switches for the trigger stops. If possible, press the triggers down at each setting.
- Check for firmware updates on the Guilikit website.
Trigger or Trigger Stops are stuck
Dirt and grime is prone to accumulating around the triggers and trigger stop switches.
- Turn the controller off.
- Spray around the switches with 97% isopropyl alcohol and wipe the switches down. Repeat with the triggers.
- If the triggers and trigger stops are still stuck it may be a mechanical issue. Use the Gulikit KK3 Max NS39 Triggerstop replacement guide.
Large uneven gap around the trigger
The Trigger stops are made of plastic and commonly break after months of regular use. They can also break after pressing too hard on the triggers.
- Check the tension of the trigger; press it down. If the press feels off, the spring inside might be broken.
- Check the trigger stops when you adjust it; does the distance you need to press change?
