HTC EVO Design 4G Troubleshooting

The battery may be dead or drained. Try plugging the charger into the phone. If it does not turn on, it may be a problem with the battery and may have to be replaced. (reference to replacement guide)

When attempting to turn the phone on, the phone may make noise as though it were working normally but the screen does not display any picture. This may indicate that the screen is bad and may need to be replaced.

After plugging your HTC EVO Design 4G, the device still does not turn on

It is possible that the charger itself is the problem and needs to be replaced. Try using a different cable and wall adapter to determine if this is the issue. If possible, try testing the cable with another device. Be sure to test the wall charger on more than one outlet. To determine if it is the wall adapter, connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable only.

If you suspect that there might be something wrong with the connecting port, it may be that it is unclean or slightly damaged. Try blowing into the port to remove dust and other particles that do not belong.

From the home screen choose All apps> Sprint Zone> Help> I Need Help. This will automatically check voice and data connections. If either of these connections is a problem, choose Update Profile and check to see if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, perform a soft reset by powering off, removing the battery for 30 seconds, replacing it, and turning it back on.

If your pictures are not coming out clear, it could be due to a broken or dirty lens. Try cleaning the lens and checking the lens for cracks or imperfections. If there are cracks, the lens may need to be replaced.

Make sure when taking pictures to allow the phone’s camera enough time to auto-focus on the subject. Otherwise, there could be something on the lens itself that could be messing with the auto-focus function.

Your phone just isn't what it used to be

Try freeing up space by deleting all sent or received text messages, transferring pictures onto computer using the USB cable and deleting them on your phone in order to free up space.

If the battery is dead contact your phone provider and request a new battery for your phone. If it still doesn't work this could be an internal problem that relates to the battery.
