Kodak Advantix F350 Troubleshooting

Camera Will Not Operate

Battery is Weak or Fully Depleted

Verify the camera is on by looking at the readout on the top of the camera. If camera battery is fully depleted, the battery needs to be replaced. Refer to the Battery replacement guide for help replacing the battery.

Shutter Not Opened

The problem may be the shutter. Before taking a picture, verify that the shutter is manually opened on the front of the camera. If shutter switch is stuck, please remove the front of the camera and check if debris is blocking switch. Refer to Front Cover Repair Guide for removal of front cover.

LCD Panel is Blank

Battery is Weak or Fully Depleted

Verify the camera is on by looking at the readout on the top of the camera. If camera battery is fully depleted, the battery needs to be replaced. Refer to the Battery replacement guide for help replacing the battery.

Camera in Sleep Mode

Verify the camera isn't in sleep mode by pressing the shutter button on the top of the camera.

Shutter Not Opened

The problem may be the shutter. Before taking a picture, verify that the shutter is manually opened on the front of the camera. Refer to Front Cover Repair Guide if shutter will not open.

Pictures are Dark

===Lens Cover Not Open ===

On the front of the camera there is a lens cover that slides open. This cover needs to be open when taking pictures.

Lens Should be Cleaned

Your camera lens may be dirty. Wipe it clean with any soft, lint free cloth. If lens is cleaned, but problem persists, lens may be damaged.

Flash Not Working

If the flash is not working, there could be three issues. First, check to make sure there is a battery in the camera. Refer to Battery replacement guide for a guide on how to change the batteries. The second problem may be the flash bulb. The bulb may be broken and soldering is needed to replace it. The Third could be the capacitor, this also needs to be soldered on to be replaced.

Pictures are Blurry

Camera Was Not Held Still

In order to ensure clear pictures you must hold the camera still while taking a picture.

Film is Damaged

there could be defective film that could cause blurry pictures. This should be the last case scenario due to it being a rare occasion that film is bad.

Lens is Dirty

Open the shutter and wipe the lens with a clean lint free cloth.

Crack in Viewfinder

Viewfinder Needs to be Replaced

If there is a crack or line in the viewfinder, you will need to replace the viewfinder. To do so follow View Finder Repair Guide for view finder replacement. The viewfinder is not necessary for normal camera use and will not affect the quality of the pictures.
