Faulty Front or Rear Speakers
There’s no sound being produced or the sound is distorted
Volume is Turned Down
Use the volume buttons on the side of the LG Tribute HD to increase the volume. Then attempt to play audio. If there is no sound output, the speakers will need to be replaced. See the LG Tribute HD Speaker Replacement Guide
Disconnected Speakers
Front and/or rear speakers are having audio playback issues. The LG Tribute HD will need to be opened up and the connection of the faulty speaker will need to be inspected. See LG Tribute HD Speaker Replacement Guide and reconnect the speaker.
Broken or Blown Speaker
Speakers may have undergone overheating or have blown. Check whether the speakers are producing a crackling or distorted audio. If this occurs then the speakers may be broken. A burnt smell is also associated with a blown speaker. See LG Tribute HD Speaker Replacement Guide.

LG Tribute HD is not charging or staying charged
Faulty Battery or Poor Battery Life
Firstly, try restarting your device. Turn off your LG Tribute HD, wait for 10 seconds, then turn your LG Tribute HD back on. Attempt charging your LG Tribute HD again. If it fails to charge or hold a charge then refer to the LG Tribute Battery and SD Card Replacement Guide.
Battery has undergone corrosion
The battery physically shows signs of corrosive damage or has exploded. In this case it will require replacement. Refer to the LG Tribute HD Battery and SD Card Replacement Guide.
Faulty charging port
Check and clean the LG Tribute HD’s charging port of dirt and debris with a blast of compressed air.If the issue persists check the quality of charging accessories provided to see that it charges other devices. If not, replace the faulty cord or outlet plug and try charging again. If previous actions failed to work, the solder connection of the charging port to the motherboard is bad and the motherboard will need to be replaced. See LG Tribute HD Motherboard Replacement Guide.
Faulty Front or Rear Facing Camera
Camera quality is poor or does not work upon opening application
Camera takes blurred images
Lens may contain dirt and require cleaning. Try cleaning the outer lens first with a screen cleaning cloth or microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. If the images still turn out blurry, the lens may be dirty on the inside of the phone. See LG Tribute HD Camera Replacement Guide to gain access to the camera component and attempt to clean the lens from inside the phone. If previous steps have not fixed your issue, its likely the lens is damaged internally and a new camera component will be needed. See LG Tribute HD Front Camera Replacement Guide or the LG Tribute HD Rear Camera Replacement Guide and replace the camera.
Camera is not turning on and showing an error message
It is possible that the camera is disconnected from the motherboard. To fix this, see LG Tribute HD Camera Replacement Guide, disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable from the camera to the motherboard. If the camera still does not work properly, the lens may be damaged or broken. See LG Tribute HD Front Camera Replacement Guide or the LG Tribute HD Rear Camera Replacement Guide and replace the camera.
Volume or Power Buttons Not Working
Buttons are stuck or unresponsive
Buttons are stuck in up or down position
The button may be jammed with dirt or debris. A blast of compressed air could dislodge and clear the blockage. If the buttons remain stuck, the phone will have to be opened in order to unstick the buttons. See LG Tribute HD Button Replacement Guide to gain access into the phone and clear any blockage.
Broken Volume or Power Buttons
The part of the button itself could be damaged on the inside and the plastic button piece needs replacing. See LG Tribute HD Button Replacement Guide to replace.
Broken Flex Cable for Volume or Power Buttons
If the buttons are not physically broken, the electrical portion of the button could be broken and needs replacing. See LG Tribute HD Flex Cable Replacement Guide to repair.
Faulty Headset Jack Port
When headphones are connected to the port there is no sound or sound is distorted
Dirty Headset Jack
If the headset jack is dirty, a blast of pressurized air directly in the port may clean out or dislodge debris in the jack.
Damaged Headset Jack
If the headset jack is still not working after attempting to clean the headset jack port, the headset jack port will need to be replaced. To do this see LG Tribute HD Headset Jack Port Replacement Guide.
Faulty or Damaged Screen
Screen is not responsive or shows physical damage
Screen is cracked or bent
If the screen shows physical damage, it will need to be replaced. See the LG Tribute HD LCD Screen and Touch Digitizer With Frame Replacement Guide.
Touch screen does not respond to user interactions
If the LG Tribute HD's screen doesn’t respond, perform a hard reset by doing the following. Hold the power button and Volume Down Button until the LG logo is displayed, then let go of the Power button. Keep pressing the Volume Down and then press the Power button once more. After that, you should see a factory reset menu on your screen. You should confirm process by choosing appropriate options. Use Volume buttons to navigate and the power button to confirm. If a hard reset fails to fix the issue, the touch screen is most likely broken and will need replacing. See the LG Tribute HD LCD Screen and Touch Digitizer With Frame Replacement Guide.

Man, I get that basic stuff needs to be posted somewhere, I mean, I was new to electronics once. But since this kind of list of surface level basic (typically irrelevant to the vast majority people looking for help) is available everywhere (even Googles search AI box thing posts literally the exact dame stuff), I really would rather see actual deep and dirty bare metal techs posting secret sauce stuff. Because wading through site after site promising troubleshooting only to find this stuff really gets on the nerves after a while...
Anyhoozle, on to your question Tanya... Unfortunately I do not have a fix for you. I can just tell you that you're not alone. My ls676 is doing the same thing, dropping apps, its like it has Alzheimers. Started after an OTA (I have so many personal examples for NEVER accepting OTAs off the bat. Always a problem. Always) when it was my dads. He got an upgrade, I factory reset the device and it was okay for a while, but started doing it again. Idk why. Im guessing a fault in the flash
