Neato Botvac D7 Connected Troubleshooting

First, we want to make sure that the charging station is plugged in. If not, then the device will have no way to receive battery charge from the outlet.
Don’t undercut the device's charge!
- In order to avoid overall battery decay, allow the robot to charge for a few hours at a time.
- This ensures that the robot will not die when working throughout the house and prevents any unnecessary walking hazards if charged correctly.

After charging, in order to completely turn on the robot you must make sure that the power switch inside the dustbin is turned on.
- To access the switch, put your fingers underneath the opening of the dustbin on the back.

The Botvac's battery can not be properly recharged.

Make sure the charging station is plugged in all the way. When charging the robot, ensure that you put the back of the robot against the charger as well to begin charging.
Ensure that the chord is not broken. Make sure wires are not frayed and are in good condition.

Clean all contacts. You can use a damp cotton cloth to clean the charger’s contacts. Once cleaned, place the robot back into the charger.

If this is occurring frequently then it may be due to the fact that the battery is out of life cycle. This happens with constantly overcharging the battery without properly using all of its charge. If this happens to your robot then you might need to either get someone to change out the system's battery or replace the robot in general.

The Botvac display does not light up or show any information.

Make sure the robot is in the charger by pushing it closer to the charger’s contacts. Also allow the robot to rest for a bit as it may be overheated. If the robot still is not charging, it may be an issue with the charger itself.

Press the Home button to wake up the neato. If that doesn’t work, it likely needs to charge. If the screen is still black after pressing Home and it does not need to charge nor produces an error message, you will likely need to replace the screen. You can call neato at 1(877) 296-3286.

The Botvac will not integrate with your wireless network.

Ensure that your router is plugged in and that devices can connect to the network. When connecting to the WiFi, also make sure you have provided the correct password.
If the robot still is not connecting, try to restart the robot and the router.
Temporarily disconnect by going to the app on your phone and reconnecting.

Remove the brushes from the underside of the robot and begin cleaning the device. Use the cleaning tool blade to comb the brush while removing all of the dirt. Clean the brush ends and replace the brush and guard over the brush.
Some debris to look out for could be: small rocks, hair lumps, small pieces of plastic, and more.
After cleaning, make sure the brush mechanism is attached properly to the robot before next use.

First, pull out the dirt bin and empty the tray. Then use the cleaning tool provided to clean the airways/openings and filter. You should do this after each use. You can also use paper towels and/or compressed air.

Replace the filter on your robot if it’s been used for at least 1-2 months.
