Tablet will not power on
The tablet shows no response and no signs of powering on.
Faulty Battery
If the tablet is able to power on only while plugged into the power adapter, then it is likely that there is a faulty battery. Follow this guide to replace the battery.
Faulty Charging Port
If the charger needs to be held at a certain angle for it to work, then it is likely that the charging port needs to be fixed because it is loose. If the problem continues without replacement, it can burn. Try using a different charging cable.
Faulty Motherboard
If you don’t see any response while charging, powering the device, or replacing the screen, the only possible component left to replace is the motherboard. Follow this guide to replace the motherboard.
Tablet will not connect to the internet
The tablet cannot find an active wireless signal.
Faulty Antenna
If your tablet is unable to find a WiFi connection, it is possible that you have a faulty antenna. Follow this guide to replac the antenna.
Distorted Display
There is a defect with the screen making it distorted.
Cracked Screen
Take off the backplate of the device. On the right side of the device is a cable that looks like a ribbon. Unplug the ribbon cable and remove the display for the chassis of the device. Take the new display and thread the ribbon through the hole and plug it in. Snap the new display into place and put the backplate onto the device. Power on the device.
No Screen Lighting
Take off the backplate of the device. Identify the ribbon cable on the right side of the device. Check to see that all pins are linked to the connector and that it is plugged in completely. If it is plugged in and still not producing light, the display must be replaced. Unplug the ribbon cable and remove the display for the chassis of the device. Take the new display and thread the ribbon through the hole and plug it in. Snap the new display into place and put the backplate onto the device. Power on the device.

I had the same problem and called RCA where I was told I need a new battery even though it stays on. $35.00 plus I need to pay to ship it to them and they pay to send it back to me!! Crazy because a lot of people are having the same problem.

My RCA Viking pro antenna wire is very short. It Doesn't look like the one on the picture. Actually the antenna wire goes to another small box on the top. Everything was fine but unfortunately I dropped it a couple of times, the last time I couldn't get a signal from the wifi.

My RCA 10 viking pro tablet keeps shutting down and restarting then gos back to the home sreen in the middle of playing games or watching videos or im on line doing something, why does it keep doing that.

My Mother-in-Law passed away, leaving her tablet, but it is LOCKED with that %#*@ 9 dot pattern key.

I got 2 of these used, and one wouldn’t power up at all. I opened them both, disconnected both batteries and cross-connected the good battery to the one that wouldn’t boot, The cable is short but if you hold them back sides facing each other it can be done. Sort of like using booster cables to start your car :)
That enabled me to boot the tablet, and it went into windows setup mode (the other tablet was Android). then I connected the bad battery to the good tablet, charged it there for an hour and then connected everything back. After that both tablets came back up as expected.
Some say that just disconnecting the battery can help. It didn’t in my case.
Be careful, there are 2 screws near the connector for the keyboard, remove those too before using your nail or a guitar pick to pry it open. There are videos on youtube showing how to do that

I found my tablet after it was stored, probably a year or more. Cannot get in it because I have forgotten my password. Is there anyway to reset the password??

When I turn on the Android it comes up with the big dog and the little dog for RCA then it goes to the page that says Viking Pro and doesn't do anything else

I have an RCV Viking pro tablet that keeps coming up with the Unfortunately, google play services has stopped. How do i stop this??? If any knows anything please tell me. I have tried factory resetting the whole entire software.
