Sony Clie PEG-TG50 Troubleshooting
No matter what you do, you can't get your Cliè to turn on.
Before delving into the guts of your Cliè, try to hold the power switch to turn on the device. If the Cliè still won't turn on, read on.
Try plugging in the device for a few minutes to make sure the battery is not dead. If your battery is fully charged and if the Cliè is still unresponsive, read on.
Flip the device over. On the back is a reset button on the middle right. Take a paper clip and insert it into the button to reset the Cliè.
If after resetting your device it still will not turn on, the problem most likely lies in the logic board.
You plug your device into the charger, but it still will not charge.
Keep the device plugged into the charger, then perform a hard reset by taking a paper clip and inserting it into the reset button on the back of the device. If this doesn't work, read on.
The internal battery may be bad. Replace the battery with a new one.
You get an error that says, "No memory stick detected."
Insert "memory stick" into Cliè's slot that is located at the top of the device. "Memory stick" will blink orange while acessing the memory stick media. If your Cliè is powered on, the application in the memory stick media will be displayed in the application launcher screen automatically. Take care to insert the memory card in the correct direction and to not use too much force inserting the card. Do not place the "memory stick" anywhere other than the designated "memory stick" slot.
