1997 tahoe idles rough when first started
wondering if there is an electonic choke funtion for when engine is cold? it goes away once engine is warmed up.

There is no choke on a computer controlled car. First step would be to check the computer memory for trouble codes. Since the problem is temperature related, I would check the coolant temperature sensor to see if it is giving the computer the correct reading.

Have you replaced the O2 Sensors? (BTW you might have more then 1) They control the fuel/gas ratio so they can really jack stuff up if they are really old or clogged up with gunk. BTW you cant clean them, you have to replace them.
