Replace logical board with any cell service provider

Good evening/day, regarding where you live.

Recently I bought an used iPhone 5s at one of my countrys' web shops. Unfortunately, it was iCloud locked.

The seller didn't play it cool. He is not answering my calls, nor my messages. Now I am just standing here, infront of my new paperweight device.

Doing some research, I found I could replace the phones' logic board for one of an already used iPhone 5s that had the same storage as mine. Is this correct?

Looking forward to buying one, I came across too many obstacles, as which the carrier lock that the logic board may have and many other problems that I would like to know if someone can tell me here.

  • What should I know about the logic board to actually make my phone fully functional?
  • I really want to know with certainty how to correctly replace my logical board and actually make this iPhone work.

I live in Uruguay, and Verizon, AT&T, Sprint are not available here in my country. This is why I really want to know if there are logic boards that are not attached to any cell service provider.

yes this can be done, but it poses a problem, if u get a working phone for the logic board then there is not much reason to swap out the boards, because you have a working phone to begin with, im not certain where you could get your hands on a logic board that is confirmed to work in your area, but swapping out logic boards can be done

I know how to replace the Logic Board, thank you for the link anyways. I want to know if this cell carrier "lock" such as AT&T, Verizon, etc can be removed by any chance. I bought the phone and it's iCloud locked, seller is not answering my calls. I really want to do something about this phone, as I already spent a good amount of money on it.

Ah ok I get it u are looking for a GSM logic board, what this is a logic board out of a phone that is GSM, CDMA will only work in the US, GSM works everywhere else
