MacBook Pro intel 2.5 gHz I5 duel core CPU
Is there a program to overclock? Say to 3.1 gHz.
I have a monitoring program to watch temps and change fan speed.

Bad idea. All the MacBooks already get way too hot and thermal throttle under load and I think there's no software support for it too.

No it was recommended to me by multiple sources to NOT do that as it could damage the computer. I just did a samsung ssd and 16 Gb of ram it’s good like that.

i want to overclock my 1.7/1.8 GHz i5 mac mini. i have an external cooling fan pad, my mac can withstand more heat.
