Dark screen when turned on

It seems as though you have a backlight problem.

This could be caused by a faulty backlight power supply from the motherboard (very unusual), a faulty LVDS cable (or cable connection, either end - motherboard or display) from the motherboard to the display or a faulty display.

Here’s a link to the service manual for your laptop. Scroll to sect 4-23 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the display panel. Part of the removal procedure is to disconnect the LVDS cable from the motherboard so you can check if it is securely connected before proceeding further.

Also on Sect.4-23 you will find the part numbers for the various displays available for your model. If you determine that the problem is with the display panel then search online using the appropriate part number only in the search box of your browser to get results for suppliers of the part. If you wish to verify what part number you actually need, it is usually printed on the back of the LCD panel.
