Every time I charge it with it's USB cable and brick with the switch in the on position, it turns on and says on screen turn power on. The switch was in the ON position when I plugged it in. Why is it saying that?

Maybe the MP3 interface is broken,try changing the charging line or head,if it still doesn't charge,that's the interface problem,you should take it for repairs.
