i was recently wanting to play on my Wii u for the first time in a month or so. the light tuns on blue for a second with the fan coming on then blinking red light. it has been opened recently to be cleaned. any ideas

I know this is an old post, but if you opened up the console and removed the disc drive, be sure to plug the flex cable in the same way it was removed. You can swap the cable around and it will fit, however you'll get the blinking red light when you try and turn it on.

Yo estoy en la misma situación pero yo la desarme porque no me quería agarrar la sd pero cuando la desarme me pasó lo mismo pero ya le hice de todo y no encuentro la falla

Make sure plugs are all plugged in. Did u have a game in it? Try to get it out and try again. Or maybe you left it on last time you played which can overheat it

Nothing is helping my Wii U it is always just a blinking red light I don’t know what to do anymore I try cleaning it and cooling it down I left it unplugged for over a month came back and still just a blinking red light.
