A screen WITH a frame assembly is typically the better choice for a few reasons. One is you’re less likely to damage the replacement while fitting it on the old frame. In my experience it’s also easier to swap to a new frame and screen assembly and if the broken screen is still good, you can send it back to the supplier for a credit or keep it on hand for data recovery.
