okay so I bought a battery replacement, however, when I installed it, it says that no battery is detected. Does anyone know what are the steps for the laptop to recognize the new battery?

Hey Diana,
Try unplugging all of the cables, power cable, and battery.
Press and hold the power button for, at least, 15 seconds .
Put the battery back in.
Re-connect the power cable.
Try powering on the laptop.
