NES with no power after replacing 72 pin

Hi everyone, great little website and I’m hoping you can help me, bought a NES from eBay and turned it on (unofficial power lead) and it was flashing red. So I took the NES apart to replace the 72 pin connector, however since I did this the NES doesn’t power up. Not sure if I have shorted something. The power supply does work on my snes but I have bought an official one to try once it arrives. Any ideas what I should do next?

Update (02/13/2023)

Just an update, I managed to fix the power issue with the NES. The lead felt flimsy in the jack so I inspected the jack itself and the large metal spring plate wasn’t in place so I gently bent it back up again and it worked!

Thanks for your help

@Steffan James Great. Also, can you upload a picture of your SNES curcuit board? Adding images to an existing question
