m having the same exact problem. Its baffling.

I filled my tank. It started to rain so i put off mowing until the following day. I go to start the mower.. nothing. I look in the tank (knowing i just filled it 18 hrs prior) and its BONE DRY.

Ill repeat. I filled the tank and walked away (after turning off the gas line). 18 hrs later the fuel is gone. No puddle. No leak. Its in with the oil. Of course i started with all the obvious possibilities…. Still havent figured it out

Have you found a solution?

Don't know how old your mower is or what kind of engine you have. There's only one way fuel can get into the crankcase (oil), that's threw the carburetor. That's assuming you have one on your engine. Inside the carb there is a needle valve that's not seating to shut off the flow of fuel. This will allow the fuel to leak past the valve and into the oil crankcase. On some models (don't know what you got) has a vacuum operated fuel pump mounted on side of engine with three fuel lines connected. If the diaphragm is bad in the pump it will allow fuel to run back into crankcase. I would replace needle valve first and also the needle valve seat.

You probably have to replace the whole gas tank. It seems like there's a hole where it's leaking

I don't think anyone understands, I put the gas into the tank and fills the oil reserve too. It's not leaking in, it's filling the oil reserve as I'm putting the gas in the gas tank
