When I set my Whirlpool dishwasher for Normal wash and set the dry cycle setting at off the cycle time displays as 2:26. But when I push start and close the door the cycle time goes up to 3:16. And when the cycle is done the dishes fell like they were heat dried. Why?

Here's the tech sheet for the dishwasher.
Run the diagnostic tests (see ACTIVATING SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC MODE) and check if any error codes are displayed.
