So I was opening my camera to diagnose something but I accidentally pulled a little too hard on the shell when opening, and detached the wire from the backlight solder pad. LCD still works but no backlight. When I touch the wire to the pad the light will come in. Can this be re-soldered or is my backlight gone?

@stechkid absolutely. This looks like a straight forward solder job. Now, if the cable is a bit to short, you may just solder "an extension to the end of the cable.
