Background
The Isuzu i-Series is a Japanese manufacturing company based in Tokyo, Japan. Isuzu was founded in 1916 and later joined with General Motors in 1972 to begin selling vehicles in the United States. The sales for the i-Series were less than desirable and were therefore only manufactured for three years and was one of the last consumer trucks made by Isuzu.
Identification
The Isuzu i-Series is built with the same General Motors parts as the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, both of which are also owned by General Motors. The only noticeable difference is the front end, labeled with Isuzu, as well as the other small Isuzu logos.
