The HP Envy 17m-ae111dx is part of the HP Envy series of laptops produced by the Hewlett Packard company. This specific laptop hit markets in 2012 ; but soon after,  HP discontinued the traditional Envy model for the Pavilion line under the Envy name. 

The HP Envy 17 sports a minimalistic, metallic look. Weighing in at 6.72 lbs., this device was marketed towards users that wanted a large display and speed with its 17.3” display, as the flagship of the device, and it’s Intel Core i7 (8th Gen) 8550U / 1.8 GHz CPU, respectively. This laptop sports a high-end quad-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce graphics processor which makes this laptop a good buy for graphics-heavy content. Some of the other biggest innovations that came with this laptop are the Blue-Ray disk reader, backlit keyboard, optional Full HD 1080p display, Bang and Olufsen audio, optional solid-state hard drive, and the possibility to connect to three displays with its VGS, mini-display, and HDMI ports. The starting price of this laptop was $1499.77.
