LaCie

LaCie is an American-French company that produces computer hardware components. LaCie manufactures external hard drives, optical drives, flash drives, RAID arrays, and computer monitors.

LaCie external hard drives range in storage capacity up to many terabytes of storage. LaCie external drives are also made with a variety of interface options, including FireWire, eSATA, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt, and Ethernet. A subset of LaCie external hard drives is LaCie Rugged hard drives. These Rugged models include large bumpers that border the device. This aims to make these drives exceptionally durable and drop resistant. LaCie Rugged external hard drives are marketed as being optimized for travel.

Some LaCie hard drives are designed specifically for Macs and are sold only from Apple. These Mac-specific hard drives have a USB-C port. Some LaCie hard drives for Macs are LaCie Rugged hard drives, while others are more traditional external storage devices. These external hard drives range from $94.95 (LaCie 2TB Mobile Drive) to $1,299.95 (LaCie 2TB 1big Dock SSD Pro).
