Identification and Background Information
The first step in identification is to look at the front of the camera and look for the words "Cyber-shot" and 5.0 megapixels. This should be located to the lower left of the lens. If this matches, look at the bottom of the camera below the lens to confirm model number (DSC-P10).
This camera was released in 2003 and was at the cutting edge of cameras. It offered a variety of features in a small compact model. Contrary to what may have been expected from a small camera, the Sony Cyber-shot had the capacity to capture images with 5 megapixel resolution.
