Background
The Sony Cyber-shot H series includes both bridge cameras and compact cameras. The cameras in this series features CCD sensors. The first camera released in this series was the Cyber-shot DSC-H1 which Sony released in February 2005.
Identification
The model will usually be printed somewhere on the body, otherwise it can be located on the label on the bottom of the camera. The model name will contain the prefix "DSC" (standing for digital still camera). The model will then contain the letter 'H' followed by the model number (for example, DSC-H55).
