Background and Identification
The Rival 700 is a gaming mouse made by Steelseries. It is a wired mouse, which means that it has a cable that physically connects to the computer, and it cannot connect wirelessly. It has an OLED screen on the side of the mouse. This screen can display a customized image like a logo, and the image can change to respond to something within the game. For example, it can display a corresponding graphic when the player performs a certain action. The OLED screen is more of a design choice, but this mouse has several practical features as well, including vibration feedback and a swapable tracking sensor.
This mouse has several removable components. First, the optical sensor is attached by four screws, and can easily be replaced by another sensor. Second, the rubber nameplate at the back of the mouse can be removed and customized with 3D printing. Finally, the top cover can be removed and replaced. Steelseries offers a cover pack with glossy or textured options.
