Background and Identification
The Toro SGR-13 Stump Grinder 22615 was released from Toro in 2017. It is a portable device designed to remove tree stumps by grinding them into bits. Although, theoretically, it could also be used to cut grass in an extremely inefficient way. It is a walk-behind stump grinder with well-balanced weight distribution. This means risk of injury is minimized.
A close cousin of the SGR-13 Stump Grinder is the SGR-6 model. The SGR-6 is more compact, but this comes with a drawback: less power. On both models, the grinder teeth are probably one of the most likely components to break but, thankfully, they are replaceable.
The Toro SGR-13 Stump Grinder has a grinding wheel extending below the device base. There are two large exterior wheels that connect to the chassis, as well as handles that extend outwards for device operation. The device base houses a Honda GX390 motor. The stump grinder is primarily red and black in color.
