Remove the three screws on the bottom of the camera with a Philips #00 screw driver.
When the bottom plate is removed there is nothing to hold in the battery covers so the springs for the covers and the covers can fall out easily.

Open the back cover of the camera to reveal the pin holding the back cover to the body
Slide in a Jimmy to help pry the back cover open as it can be difficult just using your fingers.

Push out the pin holding the back cover to the body of the camera using angled tweezers.
Once the pin is poking out use pliers or tweezers to pull the pin out the rest of the way.
