DOSS SoundBox Base-plate Replacement

This guide will help you replace or remove the base plate on your DOSS SoundBox portable Bluetooth speaker, which provides structural integrity and protects the device's internal components. The base plate may need replacement if your speaker shows signs of physical instability or sound distortion coming from the base of the speaker. Before starting, ensure the device is powered off to avoid accidental damage.

    • Locate the four 3/32" screws on the bottom of your device.

    • Using a JIS #00 screwdriver, remove the four 3/32" screws.

    • After removing the screws, lift the cover off of the device.

    • Using a JIS #1 screwdriver, remove the six 3/32" screws that attach the base-plate to the speaker enclosure. These screws are marked with red circles.

    • Using a JIS #000 screwdriver, remove the two 1/16" screws from the areas marked with an orange circle.

    • Having the magnetic pad handy will be beneficial, as these screws are very small and easily lost.

    • Lift the base-plate off of the enclosure.

Speaker had an unusual sound. Followed guide, really easy to work on. Diagnosis broken speaker membrane.
