This guide is for replacing the battery in your HP ProBook 640 G3, which may be needed if the device is slowing down or unable to handle its current workload due to a diminished or failing battery. Battery failure can result from the computer's age or inefficient resource use.
Before starting, it is crucial to observe a key safety caution: ensure the device is completely powered down and not connected to any charging sources; if the laptop was recently used, also ensure it is not still hot. The repair is estimated to take 5-10 minutes and is rated as Moderate in difficulty. You will need a Phillips #0 Screwdriver, Plastic prying tools, and an Opening Pick to complete the process.
