The Palm m105 is a personal digital assistant that can be a useful tool. The palm can experience slowdowns and freezes. The easiest way to fix this problem is to reset the Palm. Resets are easy to perform and will take no time. There are two types of reset a soft reset and a hard reset. A soft reset will solve most problems. If the problem persists after a soft reset proceed with a hard reset.

To soft reset the device, use a paperclip to carefully press the reset button located on the back of the device. The exact location of the button can be seen in the picture.
A soft reset means that it will usually not affect your personal data on your device, unless the batteries are low.
After you press the button, the device will reboot as if you just powered on your device and it should clear up most common device problems.
If your device is still not powering up or has a blank display, the next step will help you perform a hard reset of the device.

A hard reset will erase all current data on the device. This should only be done if a soft reset has not solved your problem.
A hard reset is done by simultaneously holding down the power button while also pressing the reset button on the back with a paper clip like you did for the soft reset. After a few seconds the Palm logo should appear, when it does, release the power button.
If applicable, you can restore any data previously synchronized with your PC through the HotSync operation of the device.
