iOpener kit, $20. Replacement digitizer on ebay $25.

Took about 3 hours. It started out awesome, until I hit a crack. The IFIXIT guide shows you how to get into the iPad but provides no guidance on how to deal with cracks. My solution was to use the Tiny Screwdriver to scrape all around the outside. That creates many more cracks, too. Tons of glass shards all over. Wear your goggles.

Once I got most of the way around, the left edge was a challenge, I just opened up the glass like a book and that made completing the rest easier.

Opening took about 2 hours. Putting it back together probably 30 mins.
