Why won't my mouse pointer move?

I can't get my mouse pointer to move on the screen.

How can this be fixed?

Hi Bob Johnson,

Try a USB mouse and see if it works OK.

If it does, go to control panel > device manager and check that the touchpad (mouse) is showing that it is installed OK etc.

What OS is installed in the laptop?

Does the laptop touchpad work OK if you start the laptop in 'safe mode"?
